Panasonic has brought to CES 2013 prototype tablet, equipped
with 20-inch touch screen resolution of 3840 x 2560 pixels (216ppi). The unit
operates under Windows 8.
Although it is a gadget, and is at the stage of the
prototype, observers note maturity structure, good detail and high quality workmanship.
The screen has the novelty of viewing angles of 178 degrees, and the device
comes with a stylus with the perception of pressure.
Tablet is built on a processor Intel Core i5 1.8 GHz and
graphics NVIDIA. Inside the device - 4 GB of memory, expandable up to 16 GB of
storage and 128 GB SSD. Equipment includes front camera port USB 2.0, slot
microSD, Wi-Fi adapter and Bluetooth 4.0. With dimensions of 47.5 x 33.3 x 1.0
cm "pill" weighs about 2.4 kg. The time of its battery life is only 2
hours.
Given the size and weight of the device, it can not be
compared with other tablets, but also a niche product Panasonic is quite
different. The unit is designed not as a means of content consumption, but as a
tool of execs – smart designers, great photographers, and expert engineers.
During the exhibition, representatives from Panasonic
demonstrated the operation of the device, having made his mark with a stylus on
a certain scheme and implement the display of HD-video. This device is
