Flexible batteries come! Another step towards smartphones of the future...

Although this news is not directly linked to the world Samsung, the Korean manufacturer that is precisely at this moment is in the forefront in the development of flexible displays. Imagination of many flexible display is equivalent to smartphones and devices able to bend and change its form if necessary and not highly resistant device capable of withstanding torsion and blows particular. The image of the concept in the opening article is significant in practice and shows how it could be the future of mobile devices. At Nokia World last year we were able to touch a project that Nokia saw absolutely a flexible screen in action and we were pleasantly surprised. So although the flexible screens are already a reality, but not mass still present in the various laboratories and Samsung, the main problem are the other components that need to flex exactly how the display. If the shell if you can find different solutions, hardware, motherboards, and batteries seem especially difficult to "bend".

Arrives, however, a very interesting project which in fact approaches the realization of temporally device shapeshifting. We speak of a flexible battery can be folded, elongated and arched without problems and without the latter losing efficacy. The following video shows the operation:

Hard to say at the moment as a battery of this type can offer in terms of autonomy, but it is a concrete step in the direction of the flexible smartphone which Samsung is now leading the industry although it is still a market that needs to go. The screens are there, even the batteries: the next step will be the hardware and the cost reduction for mass production at commercial level. 2014 too early? Do not just have to wait!

LG Optimus L7: The display is a 4.3 "WVGA (480 × 800)

Yesterday we talked about prices and availability Optimus L7 model that we tried to preview the branch of LG and subsequently seen in Barcelona , however, a ' discrepancy between our data and the LG site , on the resolution of the display of this smartphone.
So we have personally contacted LG for a clarification and indeed it appeared that there was a change from what everyone had previously reported for this model. The display resolution of Optimus L7 has always been a moot point: credited as a 4.3 "HVGA (320 x 480) , which on paper did turn up their noses at many, had for the truth always returned excellent impression in our evidence, so that if we had not been told that the resolution was that, we would never have guessed.
At this point we do not know whether this was a mistake or if your smartphone has been updated during these months, the fact is that the model will be within the market will have a resolution more suited to its size , more precisely, we report the data official LG Optimus L7:
Touchscreen 4.3 " high brightness ( 450Nit ) WVGA 800 × 480 pixels , 16M colors TFT, 217 PPI , Corning Gorilla Glass
To add a display CPU  single-core 1 GHz ,  512 MB of RAM , back camera  5 megapixel  + VGA front,  NFC  and  1700 mAh battery , and you get a complete picture of the smartphone.
As for Optimus L5 , in case people are wondering, there's no news, and also the site of LG confirms that the display will be a 4 "320 × 480 pixels HVGA TFT 256K color 144 PPI.
For our part, we apologize for the ambiguity created, but we are happy with what was an upgrade requested by many, and we remind you that Optimus L7 will be on sale at  the end of April for a price of $ 415
