Nexus Prime: still speculation, rumors and some news

The wait is really great and not a day goes by without new speculation, information, rumors or fantasies about the new Nexus Prime . Here is the latest information is collected, more or less realistic, that have circulated in these last hours.

We left with the alleged date of submission of the Nexus Prime -  Rumors | Nexus Prime: possible presentation on October 11th!  - which would seem to be different on a lot with the announcement of a new Google Phone. They are in fact revealed the details on the agenda for the presentation of the CTIA, and we read:

Gamer Enthusiast & Entertainment

  • A product to be announced from Samsung Mobile, Samsung Telecommunications America;
  • Galaxy Tab WiFi Edition 8.9, Samsung Telecommunications America, and
  • Galaxy Tab 10.1 ™ 4G with LTE, Samsung Telecommunications America
In the category  Entertainment & Gamer Enthusiast indicated a new product is not specified which will be announced by Samsung Mobile. Though the same source image that is found on the side can be quite confident that the Prime or Nexus Galaxy, we believe most likely a presentation of the 7-inch Tablet.

Besides the fact that they belong to the category Games and Entertainment, we read the presence of the other two and is not Tablet it is the 7-inch recently seen.
To increase the uncertainties, Samsung today announced the Galaxy and Galaxy LTE HD - Samsung launches Galaxy and Galaxy HD S2 S2 LTE in South Korea  - and once again could be shown these smartphones, maybe just the HD version in America and not the Prime!
Not all bad news though. In the picture you can clearly see an article Galaxy S2, but if you check carefully, under all'S2 shows a device with the highest body rounded. Despite the efforts we were unable to find a phone that has already submitted the highest of the Galaxy and that S2 has a body of  so marked. That is what the Prime Nexus under the S2?
Surely we will soon have all the answers. Google and Samsung will be together for the new Google Phone, but perhaps the presentation will be made directly from Google along with Ice Cream and Samsung at CTIA next.

Rumors | Nexus Prime: possible presentation on October 11th!

To close the week with a flourish, as if it were needed after so many Android news these days, comes directly from Samsung's invitation for an upcoming event next Unpacked Oct. 11 at CTIA Wireless. The thought is obviously the next Google Phone, the Galaxy Nexus Nexus Prime or according to the latest rumors.
Although November is the month to date indicated for the new Google Phone, it is possible that there may be a presentation before, perhaps even to go against Apple that, according to the latest updates, should present the new version of the iPhone October 4 .

Of course nothing is certain, Samsung at CTIA could present anything, maybe a new Tablet 7 for the American market, or other smartphones like the Galaxy S Glide sighted today.

Do not just have to wait. The hope is still to be able to see the new Nexus Prime though perhaps not the CTIA event dedicated to this event so important.

Nexus Prime here as it could be!

Since it now seems a done deal and the Nexus Prime is just waiting for official confirmation from Samsung, we decided to speculate a bit 'on the latest rumors and imagine how it will be the next Google Phone. With the recent presentation of the Galaxy S2 version of LTE, it seems that Samsung has created a sort of alter ego of touch wiz Nexus Prime. For this reason we relied on the version of LTE to create the "concept" you see above.
Name:
Nexus Prime seems now official. A name that was initially attributed to LG line view of Optimus Prime very close to the title, especially for those who love the Transformers. However, as we know from recent revelations, Prime is now associated with Samsung and this name is still shrouded in mystery. Difficult to find a logical connection with the previous line or other device Samsung Nexus. In addition, the new Ice Cream Sandwich recall not in any way and signed before we would have expected maybe a Nexus Ice. We'll see if all the output will be confirmed and we will discover why the name.

Aesthetics:
Hard to imagine an aesthetic line, but we think quite likely that the Nexus Prime can take the form of LTE version of the Galaxy S2 with some minor modifications. We have seen how S2 LTE, despite the 4.5-inch screen, keep unchanged the size of the body . Although many hope that Android 4.0 will not have front buttons, we have preferred to be more conservative in choosing the image and we have included the classic line 4 front buttons Nexus.

There are two hypotheses. By eliminating physical buttons is very likely the choice of the 4.65-inch display, which could further eat from the bottom of the space without altering the aesthetic dimensions by removing the keys. It 'also true that the keys softouch take up less space than the physical Galaxy S2 and perhaps a few millimeters, can still be eaten.

It is still possible that the display can be from 4.5 inches and 4.65; the xml file on the Samsung site, although not certain, gave as magnitude 4.5 inches. Do not just have to wait.

Features:
Here probably the margin of error is quite low. The version of the LTE Galaxy S2 is made for anticipating the new features of Nexus Prime. So without speculating too much:
  • Dual Core Processor 1.5 GHz
  • 1GB of Ram
  • 4.5 or 4.65 inch screen (resolution 1280 × 720 pixels likely even if it is really high)
  • NFC
  • LTE / GSM depending on market
  • 8 Megapixel Full HD with flash (5 megapixels if you want to be very conservative)
  • 2-megapixel front camera
  • 1850 mAh battery
  • 16GB of internal memory
Operating system:
Android 4.0 will certainly be the system that will debut the new Nexus. We're talking about the famous Ice Cream Sandwich that we have recently seen in some images but could be totally different in the final version. A system where there is much expectation that it will be a real point of transition between the current view of Android, and a unique, complete and suitable for all platforms and devices. Lots of new features, API, and the possibility of development. Nothing is certain yet and very few are currently available information. Again we have to wait.
Output:
Nexus Prime might be introduced from next October, although initially we had said in November. We remain, however, as of mid-autumn period of presentation with an American release for Christmas. In Europe, we hope to arrive at similar times although the Nexus line has always had an American debut to date.
Prices of course also conceivable it certainly does not belong to the price range of between 500 and 600 €.
Provided that the end is not an LG!

iPhone 5 Vs Nexus Prime

The iPhone 5 is expected to run on an upgraded operating system, iOS 5, and is expected to be supported by a strong ecosystem including iCloud. iCloud will also store photos, apps, calendars and documents without storing them onto the phone's memory storage. Apple also placed itself in top position of the cloud war by inking deals with top music label companies to license songs for the iCloud service.

On the other hand, Google is readying its next iteration of Android mobile operating system - Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The phones that would feature this version of Android are expected to be a tough competitor to Apple's iPhone 5.

If rumor mills are true, Samsung and Google are readying a "killer" device under the name Nexus Prime, which could give iPhone 5 a run for its money in terms of both OS as well as specifications.

Since both are expected arrive in October, an epic battle looms.

Let's see below the speculated features of both iPhone 5 and Nexus Prime.

iPhone 5

Apple is expected to release iPhone 5 as a "World Phone" - both GSM and CDMA compatible. It is conjectured that the phone will have a SIM-less design with 3-4 antennas. Another rumor suggested that the iPhone 5 will feature a SIM card slot for other countries except the U.S. This will allow users to insert any SIM card in iPhone when traveling abroad.

Apple has made improvements in the camera department by fitting a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. Apple's iPhone 5 is expected to sport an 8 megapixel camera.

There is also near-unanimity in gadget circles that Apple will bring its A5 chip on to the iPhone 5. The A5 processor is the same one that Apple rolled out to power its iPad 2. Apple may boost the speed of its A5 chip in the range of 1.2 or 1.5 GHz as several Android smartphones are coming with 1.2 GHz processor.

Apple may fit a near-field communication chip in the iPhone 5 as some high-end Android devices are expected to sport the NFC chip. NFC allows for simplified transactions, data exchange, and connections with a touch. A smartphone or tablet with an NFC chip could make a credit card payment or serve as keycard or ID card.

Apple is rumored to increase the screen size of iPhone 5 to compete with Android smartphones, probably going for a 4-inch screen. The iPhone 4 has a 3.5-inch screen.

Apple's iPhone 5 is expected to feature the new iCloud service in operating iTunes for wireless remote access of music from all computers and mobile devices.

Nexus Prime

Nexus Prime is expected to run Android Ice Cream Sandwich and feature a Super AMOLED HD display with 720p resolution. Prime's display will include a 4.5-inch panel with a PenTile layout, according to a report from BGR.

Nexus Prime will be powered by a TI OMAP4460 chipset clocking at 1.5GHz. The report added that Nexus Prime won't feature physical Android menu buttons below the screen anymore as everything will be software-based.

In other hardware, the camera will be 5 megapixels, but the sensor is expected to be improved for higher quality images and better low-light conditions. Like many Android handsets on the market, the Nexus Prime will offer a front-facing 1-megapxiel camera for video chat.

The 5-megapixel camera, however, is said to sport an advanced sensor delivering top image quality in addition to superior low-light performance. Moreover, the device would have 4G LTE support and at least 1GB of RAM, the report added.

Google is said to be aiming to launch the device around Thanksgiving.
