CyanogenMod 10.1 in the pipeline for Galaxy S

We were sure that the team Cyanogen would not leave the now antiquated I9000, also called Galaxy S, although many of them have feared the possibility for reasons related to performance.

Tonight, the repository has in fact added a new rom experimental bearing the initials cm-1.10-20121215-EXPERIMENTAL-galaxysmtd.zip, after the first version leaked this is certainly the first official pre-nightly CyanogenMod 10.1 for Galaxy S.

On XDA has already opened the first thread that collects the impressions of users and it seems that, although experimental, the ROM does not have any kind of problem even though it is still not advisable to install it and prefer the nightly surely not be long in coming.

On this version you will find, as always, the list of the last build for I9000, and if you want to try it, among other things, automatically updated when you already have the 10.0, please let us know.

Galaxy S: XDA comes the first rom AOSP Android 4.2

Also for no longer young Samsung Galaxy S comes an almost fully functional Jelly Bean 4.2, thanks, of course, to the community Xda Developers.  The AOSP ROM is based on the source code of Cyanogenmod and it is quite stable and usable for the daily use, although it is not a final version.

The only real lack important, which will be resolved with the next update, is represented by the inability to perform the mount SD-card on a PC, while everything else seems to work properly. Among the minor bug is still not supported Exchange and Clockwork does not work in the Dup. Some users have also complained about malfunctions in Wi-Fi
