Apple iPod nano clip to a head with a double feature?

The Cupertino company has an ongoing "factory" of patents so that, in these days, were submitted ideas for the introduction of new iPod nano. Apple, in fact, seems interested in bringing back a clip on future iPod nano that could have a double function : that of selection Bureau "quick-and-easy" and the synchronization of the media library.

The concept, presented as a patent, is entitled "Portable Device With A User Clip Having Electrical Thermals" , and describes the different types of use of clips on the device, which can act both as a common point of coupling, both from the point of recharge to synchronization.

In particular, the patent includes the illustrations showing a device very similar in appearance to the current iPod nano sixth generation , already equipped with, among other things, of a rear clip.

The novelty, therefore, would be the application of electrical contacts that allow the clip to the device, once connected to a dock appropriate, to recharge and synchronize data with a PC or a Mac, avoiding the use of traditional dock connector to 30 pin now standard Apple.

 

As usual, the patents filed by Apple may also never see the light, but in this case, if the idea goes ahead, future iPod nano could exploit this technology and avoid the adoption of the 30-pin dock connector , freeing up interior space for the possible inclusion of new hardware .  by
