Snapseed: perfection in a few clicks

Released a few days ago also on Google Play Android, Snapseed was one of App which until now had remained exclusive platform Apple.  Release for Android follows the recent acquisition of Nik Software by Google.

Say immediately that it is an application of imaging expected in the arsenal Software User Android because alongside with the simplicity of use disarming, potency and efficacy unique. I downloaded the beginning (on iOS) but I was not able to fully understand the power. The fact that they operate fully with the fingers “touching”the image (without sliders and controls to be set numerically) me made her seem very professional. Nothing could be more wrong. The application (which shows very few differences between iOS and Android) is very effective and very fast.

Snapseed Application is not just editing, but it is also an excellent application for posting photos around the social world. In this there is a difference between iOS and Android. The iOS App menu shows a “share” where you can choose the social to the post, including those configured on the device, while Android on the button “share” mail directly to Google (and it indeed shows the icon). To post to other social networks by Android, you must select “share” from the main menu of the application. Less instinctive and also awful, but he understands the purpose as an additional means (by Google) to push their own social network.

The sub-editing is very rich. You can apply different filters; frames include several creative filters and use details. There are plenty of filters more retro classics such as drama, vintage black and white. Complete settings of the image brightness, contrast, sharpness, and color temperature.

What makes Snapseed truly effective is its mode of interaction and application filters through control point. With this feature, you can quickly select (and with your fingers) whole areas of the image to apply filters and corrections.

Apple and Google teamed up to grab the patents Kodak

Once a giant in the industry, now on the verge of collapse. The parable of which seem Kodak is exemplary in demonstrating how even large companies have to constantly keep up with the times, who do not forgive anyone, in a market where the top six a year, and the next you are bringing up the rear (or vice versa).

The system of administration, which the company is subject to time , is about to expire, but that philanthropy is not just for the two biggest contenders in the mobile industry have poured $ 500 million into the coffers of Kodak. Apple and Google have in fact formed an alliance to become owners of well 1,100 patents Kodak, which means that neither have exclusive control over them, but both can boast the same rights.

This is a move not officially confirmed by any of the three companies involved, but that Bloomberg claims as legitimate on the basis of a couple of his trusted sources. Of course, even if it was all confirmed, this would not stop all of a sudden the "patent war", but still open, even if only for a moment, an idyllic setting in which the dispute would not be moved rounded corners or unlock methods, but the products. And of course do a lot of good to the coffers of Kodak, which certainly are not very rich at the moment.
