Hope developer Ryan (Ryan Hope) from the command HP / Palm posted picture of HTC EVO 3D, installed on it WebOS. This port is made by Ryan in his spare time for fun and yet not be published publicly. But given the rate that the company took the HP, it is possible that WebOS will appear as a third-party firmware on current HTC smartphones and in official OS - in the future.
Hope Returning to Ryan and his experiment. Sam Ryan argues that the HTC EVO 3D was chosen because of the fact that its characteristics are similar to those that have HP TouchPad, the first and only tablet PC on the WebOS. Indeed, in both devices installed dual Qualcomm MSM8660, which is not only processor in the literal sense, but also the controller of many communication tools and sensors that are installed in the smartphone / tablet. Current ARM-chips are true "sandwich" with the deployment of multi-elements. In addition, Ryan says that these pictures were taken a few months ago, before the opening of the code. To understand the performance presented by Ryan port, I would like to see the video review.
To understand what a WebOS in its present form, check out the video below.
Do you think whether you need one more HTC OS for the official installation of smart phones? If there are third-party firmware with WebOS, will you install them on your device?
