Forum Coolaler.com appeared the first real benchmark (hopefully) the new Intel Core i7-E SandyBridge 3930K on time compared with the previous generation of Core i7 X58 platform. Recall that the 3930K (LGA 2011) is an ESA-Core with HT and well 12MB of L3 cache, 3.2 GHz and frequency controllers Quad-Channel DDR3.
The new processor was compared with the Core i7 Extreme 980X to 3.2 GHz and Triple-Channel configuration, testing the 3930K has the best but there were no significant increases compared to the X58 platform tested. We would have to consider the particular aspect of software as the current memory benchmarks are not optimized for Quad-Channel (etc..).
At this link you can find all the tests carried out: Coolaler Forum
Here's an example with the Cinebench benchmark:
3930K Intel - LGA 2o11 - x79 Chipset
Intel 980X - LGA 1366 - X58 Chipset
We believe that the benchmarks are not "mature" software mentioned in both appearance and because the new E-SandyBridge should offer greater scalability, not to mention that the 980X, although the previous generation, it is an Extreme Edition.
