Ivy Bridge Intel Core i7-3770K overclocked to 7 GHz

On site Expreview appeared some screen showing the new processor Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge to grips with some overclocking sessions. A user of the forum has shown that it is very easy to increase the frequency of this processor, using, a relatively low voltage.

The CPU can reach 4.5 GHz with 1.1 V, the 5 GHz with 1.17 volts and then the 7 GHz 1.889 V, the latter result is obtained naturally cooled with liquid nitrogen, but the thing " positive "is that everything was possible without disabling the Core.
So overclockers and performance enthusiasts will be happy and patients to get their hands on this gem.

Laptop ASUS N45J Jay Chou Edition: here are the specs with price

ASUS is expected to present a short version of the new laptops N43SL Jay Chou Edition, a laptop designed in a very nice and high performance. Unlike the first version (black), this time the manufacturer has opted for a white chassis worked, aesthetically pleasing design, the N43SL has a screen resolution of 1600 × 900 and probably 14 ".

Onboard we will find a video card Nvidia GeForce GT555M and processor Intel Core i7/i5/i3 Second Generation with 8 GB of DDR3 RAM, the audio is entrusted to a Bang & Olufsen ICEpower solution.

The ASUS N43SL Jay Chou Edition will be distributed (mainly on the Eastern market, but certainly also on the global one) from the middle of January, yet the price is not known but may touch the 1,567.59 USD to 1,698.18 USD.

Sandy Bridge Intel Core i7-E 3820: Here are the first reviews

The site AnandTech.com has published an interesting article on the new Intel Core i7 3820SandyBridge-E , a CPU that unlike the high-end models and i7 i7-3960X-3930K has 4 cores with HT architecture and frequency based of 3.6 GHz As many readers know, the i7-3820 is not unlocked for overclocking, but with the new x79 motherboards can increase the frequency. The staff at Anandtech was able to get it safely to over 4.6 GHz

The article explains the different characteristics of the CPU compared to the unlocked models, offering different benchmarks and a video. Recall that the Core i7 3820 will cost about $ 285, for more info at this link .

Intel Core i7 2700K to 331 Dollars

A few days ago we announced the upcoming debut of the new Intel Core i7 SandyBridge 2700K, LGA 1155 CPU with unlocked multiplier and "successor" of the 2600K .

As already reported in the news, 2700K Intel will have the unlocked multiplier and a frequency of more than 2600K of only 100 MHz and the other characteristics remain unchanged, architecture Quad-Core, Hyper Threading, 8 MBdi L3 cache and TDP 95W.

The sale price, however, as it was easy and will debut at $ 331 (per 1000 units), compared with $ 317 of 2600K. All in all, this small increase is not surprising, given that the processor has more than 100 MHz and almost certainly will have better overclocking abilities. However, expect the arrival in our country (probably late October), where we hope to avoid surprises in the "conversion" of prices.

Intel Core i7 3930K SandyBridge-E here is the first benchmark

Forum Coolaler.com appeared the first real benchmark (hopefully) the new Intel Core i7-E SandyBridge 3930K on time compared with the previous generation of Core i7 X58 platform. Recall that the 3930K (LGA 2011) is an ESA-Core with HT and well 12MB of L3 cache, 3.2 GHz and frequency controllers Quad-Channel DDR3.

The new processor was compared with the Core i7 Extreme 980X  to 3.2 GHz and Triple-Channel configuration, testing the 3930K has the best but there were no significant increases compared to the X58 platform tested. We would have to consider the particular aspect of software as the current memory benchmarks are not optimized for Quad-Channel (etc..).

At this link you can find all the tests carried out: Coolaler Forum

Here's an example with the Cinebench benchmark:

3930K Intel - LGA 2o11 - x79 Chipset

Intel 980X - LGA 1366 - X58 Chipset

We believe that the benchmarks are not "mature" software mentioned in both appearance and because the new E-SandyBridge should offer greater scalability, not to mention that the 980X, although the previous generation, it is an Extreme Edition.
