LG Optimus Dual P990 Finally Download available CyanogeMod 10 Android 4.1.2!

We advance with the publication of springs; we were looking forward to and we finally: LG Optimus Dual can now boast Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean officially released by the team Cyanogen! obviously not talking to update LG, but one of the most famous unofficial ROM in the Android world. An alternative really important for all owners of smartphones that will now be able, finally, to try the effect of butter and new Android 4.1.2!

LG Optimus Dual P990, now comes the leaked ICS ROM dated April

Now a few hours ago was posted on XDA a test ROM for the LG P990, or our Dual. The update is really a test version, for internal use and is not recently seen that dates back to last April!

What works?

As a test ROM course no responsibility for damages, problems or malfunctions to your device. Unfortunately, the kernel is always the release of Gingerbread and there is no big news. We'll see if the developers will be able to refine the ROM:

Installation:

• Download the file P990-ICS-24-04-2012
• Unzip it
• Launch file SmartFlashTool-P990 (make sure you have the drivers installed correctly)
• Select all files and drag them on that directory to smart flash window
• It will say some files are not supported, just click ok
• You will see a list of files: bct, cfg, recovery, system ....
• Now click Start

Optimus 2X LG Xenon flash in Korea but in reality has always been only LED

Sensational slip happened recently at LG in South Korea, native country of the manufacturer, after one year from the sale of ' LG Optimus 2X . The management has publicly admitted that he constantly promoted the device as a type of flash Xenon when in fact it has always been a normal LED. A Xenon flash provides superior illumination and is often used in stand-alone cameras, for a producer so it is more expensive to integrate the device in addition to having to run into a higher consumption of energy than LED unit, occupying a space larger on the PCB and finally to the user the lack of being able to take videos to flash on.

LG on his part to publicly apologized for the mistake, with the promise that such a situation does not happen again. Meanwhile, however, over 400,000 units of smartphones have been sold all over the South Korean territory, and now many of the buyers demand a refund, claiming to victims of misleading advertising.

Update available for LG Optimus Dual V20Q with much news!

LG has just announced that a new update for Optimus Dual . This is the version already anticipated a few days ago and V20Q  that brings many bug fixes, improved stability and other news.

Please note that there is a new bugfix version for Optimus Dual V20q (P990).This version corrects some anomalies in V20l, adds new features like video chat with Google Talk and generally improves the performance of the product.

We apologize for the spread of the timing of this release bugfixes, mainly due to the desire to provide software that was as reliable as possible. LG wishes to thank all the owners of LG Dual Optimus who patiently waited for this update and in particular users of the forum and the Facebook page for the active cooperation and advice given to make an Optimus Dual product even more powerful.

Before proceeding with the upgrade recommend making a backup of personal data as is necessary at the end of the update procedure, manual reset of the product from the privacy menu.

Using a PC (connected to the Internet) and data cable:

• Follow the instructions carefully and remember that the bar "progress download or install software" may not be uniform, and thus be locked when in fact apparently the update is progressing.

Through FOTA Client pre-installed in the terminal:

• Connect your smartphone to a WiFi hotspot
• Go to the menu: Settings - About phone - Software Upgrade - Upgrade Examine SW
• Recall that in the first case is downloaded from the net the entire software package, while clients through FOTA only the delta between the two versions, then a few Megabytes.
• Always do a restore of the phone after installing the new software:
• Menu - Settings - Privacy - Factory data reset.

So many improvements with this update that we hope will be appreciated by owners of the Dual. 

LG Optimus Dual: new update coming V20Q

Great news for owners of LG Dual Optimus . Straight from the source page of the LG site, a new version V20Q available. This is obviously the source code and not the classic Roma, but it is an important clue for the next update will be distributed.

It is still Gingerbread but it could improve the quality of the system and the optimization of the UI. We'll see when it is released officially on hold cooked ROM based on these sources.
