Micron announced the creation of its first DDR4 memory module

Company Micron Technology announced the creation of its first "fully functional" memory DRAM DDR4. The manufacturer has begun shipping samples of study and received feedback from major customers, which should help the rapid introduction of new products in 2013.
It is expected that the markets for corporate servers and micro-servers will benefit from the first DDR4. Application of the new memory is also expected in the ultra-thin clients and tablets.
The modules, developed in cooperation with Nanya, x8-density components are used 4Gb, made on 30-nanometer technology. Modules have opened a family in which the model will eventually RDIMM, LRDIMM, 3DS, SODIMM and UDIMM (including, with support for ECC).
