Android 4.0.4 coming from next June 12 on Motorola Droid Razr

Could not really miss the arrival of Android Ice Cream Sandwich for Motorola Razr Droid, according to the latest roadmap released by Motorola the device should receive the update by Q2 and the second on CNET rollout could officially start next June 12 and then allowing the winged house now owned by Google for meeting deadlines.

Also according to the source, Android 4.0.4  might even get a few weeks in advance but due to some delays due to major changes to infrastructure servers for the transition from version 4.0.3 to the latest 4.0.4, the date is slipped.

The wait could end so in about a week with a gradual release in all countries with all the news that will put the new version. No news instead as regards the Motorola Razr MAXX still waiting to receive the update.

LG Optimus Dual for Ice Cream Sandwich will be available by the third quarter

Last December we had confirmed that LG would have updated their Optimus Dual to Ice Cream Sandwich , the latest operating system from Google, but unfortunately since then no more news was leaked in an official way, well, on time are now been confirmed by LG.
The long-awaited update then, come, according to a statement from LG's Facebook page , by the end of the third quarter of this year , ie before the end of the summer, after the long wait even users can finally Optimus Dual console taking advantage of the user experience and all the new features that Android has introduced 4.
On the other hand, note that if any of the owners of LG Optimus Dual Ice Cream Sandwich would have to prove it can do so thanks to the team CyanogenMod that since February  this device supports  and that very recently (on April 21st) published ' latest build for the device in question.

The first tests HTC One V

One HTC V , the most affordable smartphone new line of Taiwanese companies are gradually supplied to customers. Despite all its accessibility, filling the device has more than a modern and excellent job with both Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and a proprietary interface Sense 4.0, and with high quality modern games. Not bad, it shows itself in tests that can be estimated from this article.

To begin with we describe the technical characteristics of the HTC One V, which may affect the test results smartphone benchmarks. The heart device is a series of single-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 with a frequency of 1 GHz and accelerator Adreno 205 inside. Such a chip has been used in several Android-smartphones: HTC Desire HD, Desire S, Incredible S and others. The display resolution is 800 x 480 resolution, which is also the standard rate for middle-class devices.

To test the HTC One V NotebookNews guys have chosen the following packages: Quadrant, Vellamo, SunSpider, AnTutu Benchmark, NenaMark1 and NenaMark2. As you can see, quite a collection of classic, and the results of the device is easy to compare with any existing smartphone now. In Quadrant smartphone has received 1980 points , which is much greater than the results of the same Desire S with stock firmware. Apparently gains achieved through the Android 4.0 ICS in One V. By the way, the results only slightly inferior to the smartphone Galaxy Nexus dual-core TI OMAP 4460 inside.
More HTC One V checked in Vellamo , corporate benchmark the company Qualcomm. Surely it is optimized for processors of this company, but its results can be relied upon for comparison with other smartphones. The results of new items available in this set of tests were 1165 points . Despite the fact that SunSpider is already included in Vellamo, testers launched a popular test for speed of processing JavaScript and separately. All tests have been performed for the One V 3325.2 ms . Decent rate, which has influenced a new browser and Android.
AnTutu Benchmark - a great package for testing Android-smartphone, which has already gained popularity at the Quadrant, though younger thereof. In the test of AnTutu brand new HTC One V has 2544 points . The result is not so hot as even slightly below the Samsung Galaxy S. Yet the latter is more powerful accelerator.
Finally, recent tests in One V NenaMark1 and NenaMark2. In the first benchmark, Jr. One result showed 53.5 frames per second , and the second 28.08 frames per second . It is quite adequate results for the Adreno 205 and NenaMark more precisely evaluate the accelerator.
As you can see, HTC and Qualcomm have been better to optimize both system and drivers for the chip Snapdragon. Effect that the processor is not the youngest, and the producer of it squeezes out the maximum power does not disperse. By the way, on your phone without any problems is well-known Shadowgun. Remember that HTC One V other than those described above specifications can also boast a metal body and a very recognizable form of high-quality 5 megapixel camera. Android 4.0 on arrival in the U.S. next week on Motorola Razr and Razr Maxx

Some weeks ago the popular Motorola roadmap Journal of updates to ICS on many of the devices being marketed in several countries, preparing the start of the roll-out from April until the summer. By the dates here come the first details on the release of Android 4.0, starting with the U.S. operator Verizon getting ready with the first release.
According to a reliable source of updates about the operator Verizon will start from next week, precisely on Wednesday, April 4 unless last-minute delays through over the air and focus on the Motorola Razr and Motorola Razr Maxx in both denominations of 16 and 32GB.
If everything will be confirmed via press release from Motorola itself, may not take long before it is disseminated worldwide version also dedicated to our market.

Two "Easter Eggs" Chrome Beta for Android and many extensions in the future (video)

Google continues its tradition of hiding within its systems or specific applications of small whimsical so-called " Easter eggs "(Easter eggs). This time it was the brand new browser Chrome recently released as a beta for Android 4.0 and higher.
Some users found that very busy simply leaving open more than 99 cards (why should we wonder) in the browser looks a nice smile emoticon icon in the upper right that counts the tabs, informing us that you can not open new ones.
The second Easter egg is certainly more fun after you've opened some cards just scroll from the bottom up to 5 times and will do a somersault of tabs showing the Google logo like the title credits. This feature should also work with the accelerometer by tilting the phone 5 times. Two sympathetic curiosity that certainly will not be the sun, but let's see in the video:

Moreover Chorme for Android development kit uses the same as the desktop version, slightly modified, but that allows the addition of extensions and the creation of add-ons such as happens in computer counterpart. So, if the Beta is still plagued with stability problems in the near future, Chrome could really become the best browser for Android.

The announcement by the team posted on a popular social network is clear and unequivocal: 9 CyanogenMod embrace Ice Cream Sandwich within two months from today and will be available for more than 68 devices supported Android (many of which are completely abandoned by their manufacturers and by mobile operators!).

NTT DoCoMo confirmed the release date for the Google Galaxy Nexus

Japanese telecom operator NTT DoCoMo prematurely confirmed that the Samsung Nexus Galaxy , the first smartphone platform Android Ice Cream Sandwich , will be officially unveiled in a couple of hours in Hong Kong. According to the blog post Twitter, NTT DoCoMo is one of the first in the list of companies that will launch Galaxy Nexus on sale. Deliveries are scheduled for this smartphone in November.

Unfortunately, the report did not specify the technical details, so we will focus on the earlier specification. Presumably, Galaxy Nexus receives 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD-LCD with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, curvilinear design, 2-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, support for the NFC, high-speed wireless connectivity and 8-megapixel camera with full HD recording capabilities and video.
