A taste of Jelly Bean on Sony Xperia S (video)

Slowly but surely the community is bringing a lot of Jelly Bean Android smartphone. The ICS upgrades have certainly speeded up the transition from previous to new distribution, but also for the device to stop Gingerbread or Honeycomb results are very interesting.
Today we offer a video showing the CM10 Jelly Bean on Sony Xperia S as part of Team Development  Project FreeXperia.  Obviously it's still an Alpha version, which still shows that Sony devices are now also well received by the community with no official update very quickly.

Jelly Bean arrives on Galaxy S2 through CyanogenMod 10 Official!

Has finally arrived! We speak of the first official version, of course, still experimental, the CyanogenMod 10 for Samsung S2 Galaxy. The top range Samsung last year has thus finally his "first" update operating Jelly Bean. With this ROM Galaxy S2 will boast Android 4.1.1 benefiting from the many innovations introduced by the new distribution and a variety of bugs and no optimization's typical of Cyanogen updates still in development.

At the moment we have not yet installed the update on our smartphones, but as soon as possible to try the experience on our Jelly Bean Galaxy S2. For those who want to try this ROM, we leave you to link to XDA

CyanogenMod 10 Galaxy S3 camera working with new information

As you know we are following the development of the day for Galaxy S3 CyanogenMod 10 minutes and was released preview 8 which, in addition to generally improve the speed and quality of the update, the camera fix which until now had major problems . With this latest release you can not just take pictures, videos, and full potential of the chamber S3. Obviously lacking the characteristics of UI customization Samsung Nature, but in return you Jelly Bean 4.1.1!

The camera works pretty well and lets you record video at 1080p. Still not perfect and there is a lack of quality in low light conditions and processing speed is not particularly fast. It 'still a major step forward which definitely improves the update supplementing slowly.

This is a preview again and again is not even definable beta.

Other changes include the introduction of shortcuts in the menu and unlock other features Cyanogen, including toggle in the notifications, however also present in previous versions.

You have already tried the CM10 on S3?

Android Beam in Jelly Bean: how to transfer images

The file transfer and content through the use of NFC is already known and what the function is called Beam . Jelly Bean with the potential of this feature increased allowing more interaction with applications on your device. In the video we see how to follow the flow of images between Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7 with Android 4.1.
Unfortunately, as the author explains, the Nexus using the NFC and the Beam feature to "talk" and began the dialogue once the transfer is done via Bluetooth. Unfortunately it is not a standard because of Samsung S3 for example, uses the Wi-Fi Direct for data transfer after pairing via NFC. So two different systems that do not communicate with each other and are likely to prevent the transfer of files between S3 and Nexus for example.
Of course, smart tags and NFC stickers are universal, but when we talk about file transfer after pairing via NFC can be used two ways: Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct.  Thanks to White Fox IV, via

Google is serious here is the potential assistant Voice of Jelly Bean!

In October came the Syrians, the first assistant on the speech for smartphones such as Apple created the media campaign to launch and market iPhone 4s. In February came the S-Voice, Samsung's answer to the Syrians with some similar features and a vocal approach similar to the European media, missing out on IOS and now ready to come with iPhone OS 6. Other proposals for developers and software houses have been presented in recent months until the arrival of Google .
Comparing Google's announcement at the Google I / O capabilities of the new Voice Search to the presentation made by Apple, you'd think that the implementation by the search giant, the vocal duties is bland, not up to the competitor and such as not to be heralded as a functional decidedly important. We, by using Jelly Bean day, we have not appreciated the new Voice Search for considering the limitations of our language, but seeing the video below, we were stunned in front of the accuracy and potential of Google Voice from the server .

Whether you prefer Google Search or the Syrians or that are deemed both unnecessary and impractical choices is not important, what is clear is how the Google software is able to offer mixed results in a rapid, direct and above all with 47 questions in a row to which the Voice Search Jelly Bean never answers incorrectly and never interprets it wrong!

All mixed up with clear answers, with a voice "human" very nice (another planet compared to the other assistants voice) and visual results and additional information with respect to the question posed by the protagonist of the video. In practice, a software evolution, arrived on the market now and then still in development, announced at Google I / O, virtually unpublicized but, in fact, seems to offer something more than the competition. The integrated whole, beautiful, simple and intuitive to use.

Judge for yourself:
Do not miss the last 30 seconds!
