Software from Parallels allows a Mac to install Windows and run programs for Microsoft operating systems from Mac OS X without rebooting. The latest version has added experimental support for Windows 8.
In mid-September, Microsoft released a public preview version of Windows 8, designed for developers and enthusiasts. It allows everybody to get acquainted with the new Metro Start menu, and applications in the style of Metro, designed for work and full-screen touch control.
Assembling 7.0.14924 Parallels Desktop also offers improved compatibility with Quicken 2011, extended support for AutoDesk 3ds Max 2012 and improvements that reduce the load on the processor. Windows Developer Preview 8 is available for free download from Microsoft site.
