The new Google platform to buy and listen to music introduces some experimental features in the classic menu labs, often used to provide users with features developing beta can be tested. Some extra features are now available for the desktop version of Google Reader, three new products namely:
- Desktop Notifications : Functionality offered exclusively on the Chrome browser, which allows direct notification screen with information on the running track on the album, artist, title and thumbnail of the cover.
- HTML5 Audio : Support for the popular format that allows the execution of multimedia content without using Flash Player, available for browser Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer,
- 5-Star Ratings : Ability to classify the tracks on a scale from 1 to 5 with thumbs up / June
Currently the platform Google Play Music is officially available only in the States but many users can access it in other countries.
