Intel Atom N2600 and N2800 ship in early 2012.

The third generation of Intel Atom chip has begun shipping Intel's new platform Cedar Trail. The first based on Cedar Trail-based devices will be launched in early 2012. Intel has said that we can already look forward to Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo, Samsung and Toshiba brand to see the emergence of the use of related products.

The new Intel chips, including the 1.60GHz and 1.86GHz Atom N2600 netbook's Atom N2800 processor, 2.1GHz for D2700 chip. Cedar Trail brings a new Intel GMA3600 graphics engine, Intel's Wireless Display (WIDI) and low-power wireless music platform capabilities. The new processors will provide a huge performance boost than the previous Atom chips. But they will support 1080p HD video playback and use, power consumption by approximately 20%. Intel said, Cedar Trail will provide chips for netbooks up to 10 hours of battery life. The new chips also support Intel wireless display technology and new features to speed up recovery from sleep and faster to connect to the Internet. Cedar Trail chip for netbooks and other devices, in January 2012 Consumer Electronics Show will be on display.
