That the Galaxy Ace 2 had the new processor ST-Ericsson's U8500 NovaThor is not a secret, we also repeated yesterday, but also for the Galaxy Beam, the first smartphone with integrated projector and Android system, comes the confirmation for the same hardware solution. Therefore happy moment for ST-Ericsson has seen the adoption of its chips on just about every smartphone Xperia 2012 and which now also includes the giant Samsung. Good performance, cost and power consumption acceptable guarantee the success of these solutions which differ in clock and overall power. The same for Beam and it's up to Ace 2 Galaxy S Advanced to get even more from the U8500 platform with excellent performance.
So Samsung seems to relegate the solution Exynos home to only high-end products, be they smartphones or tablet. We'll see if in the future, other devices will adopt the same architecture.
