Samsung announces first 16GB DDR4 Memory Module for Server Systems

Through a press release, Samsung officially announced the first module of DDR4 memory intended for high density server systems. We speak of course of a RDIMM module, assembled with chips built with 30 nanometer manufacturing process and a maximum capacity of 16 GB .

DDR4 modules will be available in 8GB and cuts will reduce energy consumption by about 40% compared to the "old" DDR3.
