Apple integrates Siri cars in the class "luxury"

At the developer conference WWDC  Californian giant, in addition to operating systems iOS 6 and OS X Mountain Lion and the widespread introduction of Retina Display offered something of car: the car the next button will appear next Apple. Nine automotive giants have already signed an agreement on this.

 

A new feature called Eyes Free and is a button on the steering wheel, which includes voice assistant at Siri iPhone 4S iPad or a new owner. After this information from iOS-devices can be obtained by negotiation, without being distracted from driving. Automakers are already lined up for the new button: Apple signed an agreement with Audi, BMW, Chrysler, GM, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes Benz and Toyota. Most cars manufactured by these companies belong to a class "lux".

It may be noted dramatic differences in the approaches of the two American giants for a new idea: GM, apparently, decided to sacrifice their similar development OnStar. But the carmaker Ford, Sync offers a multimedia system based on technologies from Microsoft, the list of partners is missing.

Siri service currently allows users not only to voice search, and manage mobile devices, Apple, but to actually talk to the electronic companion. In cars Siri will be renamed the Eyes Free. Drivers will be able to dictate and send text messages, voice control various systems: audio, navigation, etc. The first car with Eyes Free to appear in 2013.
