Typically, these products are equipped with Ethernet and USB
ports for connecting to a computer, but the new model has been developed to
communicate with both Mac and Windows-based PCs and TVs, and with mobile
devices. Thanks to the wireless module, NexStar WiFi can transmit a variety of
content in the air of the SATA-HDD to any device. Some of the gadgets are
compatible iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and smartphones and tablets based on
Android.
The docking station has a compact plastic housing white with
the following dimensions: 136 x 83 x 87 and supports the safety of Wi-Fi
Security Protection WEP/WPA/WPA2, home media server, UPnP, Media Server
function for video game consoles Xbox and PS3, as well Airplay also for music,
photos and video to Apple TV and AirPort Express. Also boasts the presence of
new high-speed interface USB 3.0.
The new docking station from Vantec with a Wi-Fi will go on
sale later this year. The cost NexStar WiFi still is not known.
