Apple will protect users' personal data by mass cloning of accounts

United States Patent and Trademark Office issued U.S. patent is Apple, which describes a system for the protection of personal data of users in the Internet-based technologies Clone records - creating fake personalities that will confuse the tracking system.

The paper describes the Apple system, which "clones of Internet users," creating for them a few fake digital identities. Counterfeits can be used to deceive the system, tracking the actions of people on the web. Thus the information noise to protect personal information from a variety of automated systems that collect personal information on the Internet.

First of all, this technology is directed against software that collects data about user activity on the web. With the help of fake online personalities system makes the web different actions that must be confusing the data collecting software. In other words, the new technology will be "fed" automatic algorithms for large amounts of information through a spoofed's fake alter ego.

"In this case, the data collection is not blocked, but rather encouraged to cloned individuals who intentionally filled with false information, not allowing to collect and analyze real data," - said in the description of the patent.

To date, there is no guarantee that Apple will ever really develop real products based on this idea and apply it in other applications. However, users are increasingly expressing dissatisfaction with the fact that marketers collect huge amounts of data about their actions and habits in the Network to apply this information in advertising. Such actions may well be regarded as an invasion of privacy and violation of user privacy.
