Samsung surpassed Apple's smartphone sales to 20 million units

In the II quarter of 2012 to counter the global market for smart phones Samsung can bypass Apple's impressive margin of nearly 20 million units. This was reported by the Reuters news agency, citing its own investigation.

The publication conducted a survey of 41 financial analysts who estimated the sale of Samsung at 50 million in the period from April to June. Apple, according to experts of the company Nielsen, sold about 30.5 million handsets iPhone for the same period. The reason for such a significant advantage in the direction of the Korean vendor's highest selling smartphone called Galaxy S III. Starting a new model of the flagship Android-May and a strong advertising campaign became a serious trump card for Samsung.

Analyst Francisco Jeronimo called the Galaxy S III «heroic» device that will allow Samsung to put a lot more smartphones than any other manufacturer.

Earlier in 2012, Samsung became the world's largest manufacturer of mobile phones, leaving behind the once unchallenged leader Nokia. According to calculations by Strategy Analytics, in I quarter, Samsung has put about 93.5 million mobile phones, while Nokia shipments amounted to 82.7 million units. It is expected that in the II quarter of Samsung surpass Nokia in terms of release of "mobile phones" at 15.7 million units.

"Research has shown that Samsung has sold more than 15.7 million phones in the second quarter than Nokia. According to Gartner, in the first quarter of this year, her odds were much less obvious - 3.4 million handsets, "- said Jeronimo.

The fact that Apple has given way to Samsung, it is not surprising. The flagship model of the iPhone 4S is the market for almost nine months, the Korean manufacturer also offers a full line of Android-smartphone, covering all price segments. In addition, Samsung makes unprecedented investments in marketing. Over the next few months, the cost of advertising in the Galaxy line of the U.S. should exceed twice those for the full year 2011.
