iPhone 5 to get a solid 19-pin dock connector - Reuters

Another authoritative publication has made a declaration that the iPhone 5, expected this fall, will receive the new dock. As reported by Reuters19-pin port next smart phone Apple will be less in size than the connector with 30 pins, which is used in modern models of iPad, iPhone and iPod. The interface would allow Apple to move the audio headphone jack on the bottom of the device.

Previously, this innovation has already been rumors. It is assumed that simultaneously with the launch of its sixth phone model Apple will officially unveil the new standard, which is close in size to the Thunderbolt.

With the launch of cloud service iCloud and the emergence of wireless devices iOS-sync with iTunes, the dependence of iPhone, iPod touch and iPad from the cable has been reduced considerably. Therefore, the use of more compact docking connector is fully justified, although "shake the ecosystem of accessories," points out Reuters.

The reason for the metamorphosis to the interface does not lie in the desire to arrive at a new Apple standard, and the need to save space inside the upcoming device. Updated "micro-docking" free up space for a large battery, 4G-modem and other components are much more important for the new iGadget.

Among the other potential functions of the iPhone 5, we recall, called NFC technology and support networks, fourth generation 4G/LTE. Probably, the touch screen device will be increased to 4 inches. The very same smartphone will get a metal back, and, thus, becomes less resemble the iPhone 4S, than was before.

It is worth noting that last week, Apple has received twopatents : under the action of one of them falls within the new connector with movable components that make "apple" gadgets are more maneuverable, the other provides for the right to develop a new power supply for peripheral devices.
