Samsung refused to supply displays for Apple

Ever since Apple has accused Samsung of copying the look and user interface elements iPhone and iPad in smartphones and tablet Galaxy line, the relationship between the two companies intensified. According to The Korea Times, citing unnamed sources, the South Korean company stops supply of displays for the California manufacturer.

The newspaper said the company did not agree on the price: Apple requires Samsung to ship the screens at a substantial discount. The Korea Times points out that the latter had already reduced shipment of LCD panels for Cupertino and completely stop shipments next year. Representative Korean Corporation to be named said that Apple is no longer determined by the customer for Samsung.

However, in the near future is unlikely it could be a complete cessation of cooperation between the two electronic giants. In addition to the display technology, Samsung also supplies Apple processors, flash memory and other components.

Samsung intends to recoup losses by increasing supplies to Amazon and within their own company, said a source. The company already does not appear among the suppliers of displays for the iPad mini, which is expected to debut on 23 October.
