The new headquarters is one of the last projects of Steve
Jobs, who offered to build a huge campus for 14,000 employees. As planned by
the creator of the iPhone and iPad, office must look like a spaceship landed on
Earth. As a place for the building was chosen territory on Prunridzh Avenue,
which Apple bought from Hewlett-Packard. With the purchase of
the land area of the campus Apple doubled.
All of this structure with the surrounding territories
should occupy 2.8 million square meters. The building will be a corporate
fitness center, many offices for development, cafe 3000, ample parking and much
more.
The project has undergone some changes compared to earlier
plans, and rendering, but generally remained the same. Among the innovations -
Small and increased underground parking. The new plan of the headquarters will
be presented after Thanksgiving.
According to previously published data, the new office will
be arranged all Apple spacious rooms,
large glass surfaces and apple orchards - both outside the building and in the
courtyard. In the center of the "space ship" will be an extensive fleet
of 6,000 trees. The complex will provide power supply system based on natural
gas.
