Sharp IGZO showed the benefits of technology for the next iPhone and iPad

Japanese company Sharp in the exhibition CES 2013 held an official presentation of the display technology IGZO, which is rumored to be used in smartphones and tablets Apple the next generation.

According to the demonstration video Sharp, screens, made on technology IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide), mobile devices provide several advantages competitors. First, the technology allows you to see the display even after the power is turned off, saving battery power while displaying a still image by 80-90%. Smartphones and tablets with IGZO-displays can have ultra-thin frame and have a level of sensitivity to the touch "at the level of plain paper."

The panels are used IGZO transistors based on indium, gallium and zinc, silicon and not, as in the traditional screens. This development is in color rendering and better dynamics of modern LCD technology and economical in consumption and thinner design.

Not surprisingly, in Cupertino hope abandon conventional IPS-screens in their mobile devices in favor of the panels, which use technology IGZO. According to rumors, Apple is in talks with Sharp on this, as well as trying to find out whether it is possible to produce such displays on the production line L5C, owned by AU Optronics (AUO).
