List of computers that are compatible with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion

Just a few weeks will be released public version of the operating system OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. Apple today via the official website developers began to distribute the final (but not the release version) assembly Mountain Lion.
 
The so-called GM-version of the Mountain Lion is 99.9% complete build, which goes before the public release with the following objectives:

Golden Master is limited only by registered developers and ordinary users can access the platform via a Mac App Store later this month. Formally, the company has not announced a release date for the new OS, but most observers believe that the Mountain Lion will be released July 25 - the day after a California Corporation to unveil quarterly results.

Today Apple released the official system requirements for the new system. According to them, not all workers 'Macs' will be compatible with it. First, the existing Mac users will be able to upgrade to a new OS with only the penultimate stable version of Mac OS X 10.6.8, so that their computer must be at least compatible with this operating system.
 
Basic requirements for the Mountain Lion looks quite modest: 2 gigabytes of RAM and 8 GB of hard disk space. Supports Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7 or Xeon.

Mountain Lion can be installed on the following computer models:

  • iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
  • MacBook (aluminum, late 2008 or early 2009 or later)
  • MacBook Pro (mid / late 2007 or later)
  • MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
  • Mac mini (Early 2009 or later)
  • Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later)
  • Xserve (Early 2009)
It's okay if you can not upgrade to the new OS. Many are still working on outdated XP, Vista, Tiger or Snow Leopard. However, the Mountain Lion - is really a major upgrade, for which one could decide to upgrade your computer.
